GTAModding.com Milestones

Hi there!

Well, thanks for your input regarding modders. Was thinking of bio articles on notable GTA programmers here, although I realised that userpages can already take care of it. Lpgunit 00:38, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Images

Hi. How did you manage to get images to upload? Everytime I tried to upload, it ends up like this.--Spaceeinstein 23:46, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

It looks like the image resizing is broken there. So every time you open a page where a thumbnail (copy of an image of less size) has to be shown, you will see the error exactly like on that page. I managed it to work by uploading the image with exact size I needed (32 px) and using it in the template. So, until Steve or anyone having root access fix that bug, new uploaded images cant be resized by the wiki engine thus not having thumbnails (old pictures still have their little copies, so they are shown correctly). Malformed Wiki Text (new)

Hello there. I am maintaining my tutorial pages and found a glitch in Wiki text parsing.

TxdGen/Converting_Textures_to_PS2_Format#imgimport.ini

It is not supposed to be an E-Mail but the parsing system recognizes it as one. How am I supposed to fix this? In an environment where developers display diverse content... introducing random extensions is not a good idea.

Since there is no official help pages on GTAModding.com to find out who is sysop I decided to contact you.

Unrelated to that, I question the removal of the viewcount of each page. It was that number at the bottom of articles that allowed you to track the number of visits. I used it to track popularity of articles, sort of like a downloadcount in upload centers. Was it an informed decision to remove it? What was the reasoning behind it? The GTA (talk) 07:22, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

The changes that happened are due to an upgrade to the software running the website. Those who maintained the software made the changes. I don't see any text being parsed as a email on that page though. It looks fine on my end.--Spaceeinstein (talk) 15:47, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
I don't see any problems with that line on my side either, it's displayed as plain text. Probably you have some browser extension or an external tool that parses html and highlights emails. Removal of page views is explained there https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.25#Hit_counters_removed Seemann (talk) 17:36, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Sorry if I failed to display the issue here. Look at this: http://s15.postimg.org/o20nqdiuh/emailprotect.png . The issue appears to be with CloudFlare not liking the NoScript Firefox extension. It baffles me... Clearly there is no E-Mail address.. a parsing error on a centralized service rather. But okay, enabling JavaScript for gtamodding.com is a good idea anyway. About view counters I would appreciate if the manager of this wiki software would install that viewcount extension. :) (relevant: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170016-What-is-Email-Address-Obfuscation- ) The GTA (talk) 10:13, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
