Talk:Collision File

Cerbera, I removed those two categories you added. Collision files are neither map files nor vehicle files. Don't try to confuse people. --steve-m

COL files are used by map and vehicle objects in GTA3 and GTAVC, so surely they are? Listing this article in the "Map Format" and "Vehicle Format" categories would make sense because it is a format used by those parts of game? --Cerbera

What if it was possible to assign audio files to map objects - would you call them map files as well then? Probably not. --steve-m

So, what about the undocumented COL4 type? (0x00538480 asm address, 1.0) --The GTA

SFX and particles

space, I don't understand what this section is about? What these numbers mean? How can we use them? And why this table is added in the Collision article and not SFX or Particle? Seemann (talk) 10:01, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

The first column is the collision material, the other numbers are SFX values. I may use words in place of numbers for clarity in the future. I put them here because these SFX and particles are all associated with the material. Placing them in separate pages like SFX and particles will split apart the information and the split can already be seen in the SFX page. It's basically the same as what I had done in List of vehicles (III/VC). I will also clarify the numbers in Weapon#Vice City.--Spaceeinstein (talk) 16:57, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
